Duralon is a continuous multifilament synthetic sewing thread developed by Saunders Thread which is widely used in a variety of sewing operations ranging from upholstery and leather goods to government contract work. The primary types of Duralon are referred to by the prefix "S" or "B" designating soft or bonded respectively. Both types are engineered and processed to result in relatively low elongation, to yield maximum yardage per pound, and to provide excellent sewing performance.

FINISHES
Duralon, soft and bonded, is finished with lubrications that are specially designed for the sewing operations involved. These lubricants are formulated from carefully selected combinations of waxes, silicones, and oils. They provide consistent machine tensions and loop formation and in addition, afford protection from needle heat to insure good sewability.
